Beyond Survival: Local and Global Activism in Times of Austerity

9:30 – 10:00 a.m.  Registration and coffee in Pond Inlet

10:00 – 10:30 a.m. Opening Plenary, Phil Davis and the Ohnia:kara Singers (Pond Inlet)

10:30 – 11:50 a.m.  Session 1 – Concurrent Workshops (various locations in Plaza)

12 noon – 1:30 p.m.  Lunch and Social Justice Information Fair (Pond Inlet)

1:30 – 2:50 p.m. Session 2 – Concurrent Workshops (various locations in Plaza)

3:00 – 4:30 p.m. Panel: “The Criminalization of Dissent” (Pond Inlet)

4:30 – 5:00 p.m.  Conversation break with Moroccan food and music (AS215)

5:00 – 7:00 p.m.  Documentary, They Were Promised the Sea, and Q & A with Director, Kathy Wazana (AS215)

The Forum is free and open to the public. Everyone is welcome. Free parking, light vegan meals and childcare are provided with registration, which opens in early January.
